Description
Saturday September 30, Flûte Alors! in collaboration with the Montreal Recorder Society invites Quebecois amateur recorder players of all ages to come and make music with the musicians of Flûte Alors!, in the fourth edition of this special event! On the schedule: interpretation workshops, introduction to beginning recorder, and teleconference with special guest Bart Spanhove.
The event culminates in a concert by Flûte Alors! in which the participants will also be invited to play!

Fees

- Whole day: $75
- Morning only (interpretation workshop and lecture): $50
- Afternoon only (afternoon practice and concert): $50
- Afternoon only, beginner (introductory workshop and concert ticket) : $45
- Lecture only: $15
- Concert ticket only: $20
Montreal Recorder Society members receive a $5 discount on all events.
Any participant bringing a beginner to the introductory workshop will receive an additional $5 discount.
How to participate
Follow the steps below to sign up and participate in workshops. Payment of fees is done online. A link for payment will appear at the bottom of the registration form. Please contact us for any questions regarding online payment.
If you would like to only attend Bart Spanhove's conference (late morning - 11:00) and/or the concert, click on this link .
If you would like ton only attend the concert in the afternoon (3:00), clik on this link.
- Check what level you play at
- the intermediate workshop is aimed at levels intermediate I and II
- the advanced workshop is aimed at levels intermediate III and IV, but more advanced players can join in, provided they understand that they are not the target audience
- Look at the music for the workshops.
- Sign up using the form corresponding to your chosen type of registration :
- Registration for the whole day (intermediate or advanced).
- Registration for the morning only (intermediate and advanced) and lecture.
- Registration for the afternoon only: rehearsal (intermediate and advanced) and concert.
- Registration for the afternoon only: introductory workshop (beginner) and concert.
- Intermediate and advanced players only: Choose your part and write it on the spreadsheet. Be sure to write your name multiple times, once for each piece.
- Note: the spreadsheet is saved automatically each time it is modified, so you only have to close your browser once you are done. You may reopen the file to change your entry. Please do not modify anyone else's entry.
- Note: signing up on the spreadsheet does not reserve you a spot at the workshop. To sign up, fill in the form corresponding to your registration (see point 3).
- Print or downloard your music at home - there won't be any copies available the day of the workshops!
- Intermediate and advanced players only: Practice at home before the Recorder Rendezvous.
- On the day of the Recorder Rendezvous, bring:

- a pencil
- a music stand
- lunch, water bottle, drinks, snacks... (see Food and Drink)

Food and drink
Lunch is not provided. We recommend that you bring your lunch with you, along with a water bottle (there are drinking fountains on site) and any other drinks or snacks you might want. We cannot provide a refrigerator or a microwave. Please note that there are no restaurants within walking distance of the EMVI that is open on the weekends and that buses run on reduced schedules at the weekend.
